Charles Sehut.z was seriously, if notfatally, injured in a free-for-all tight at Polk Cil.y. “Jtuck’’lUninc, his assailant-, is now under arrest pending the outcome of Sclmtz’s injuries. It is alleged that T'laine i. :ilt;juarj'elsome character and that ho was the aggressor in a quarrel with Schulz. The latter is visiting in Polk City with his brother, who is proprietor of a confectionary store. Others mixed in the quarrel and the light became general. P.laiue, it, is said, then secured a large oak sled stake and struck Schulz over the head with it, fracturing his skull. At last reports the injured man was still living, but the physicians are unable to predict the results of his injuries. Schulz resides in Uedford. Taylor county.
