J, Urossley received a wire from Commissioner Edward J. Stier at Georgetown in tbe Kuskokwim containing the information that the bodies ot the murdered Nelson brothers have been Found on a lonely island in the Kuskokwim river. The •wire in full follows:Bodies murdered Nelson brothers found 2 00 miles 'below Georgetown in bad state decomposition. No physician or undertaker here. Will have to take jury from Georgetown. S*hall I get -physician and undertaker from Iditarod, proceed to place, hold autopsy- and Inquest? Will take two or three weeks. Expense probably between four and five thousand dollars. Letter follows,EDWARD J. STFER, Commissioner lor Kuskokwim Precinct/’The wire was brought overland from Georgetown to Iditarod, there relayed to Kaltag by the wireless and over the land wires from Kaltag to Fairbanks,The message is the first official confirmation of the report of the finding of the bodies, -published two days ago exclusively Jn the Times, as a dispatch from Iditr-od.As the wire was received too late for an answer to be sent last night, District Attorney Crossley has not replied to Ulr. Stier’s qxiery as yet. Commissioner Stier -will probably be authorized to -obtain a physleian from Idltarod, proceed with the jury to the scene of the gruesome find, and -hold an inquest and -autopsy.The Nelsons are supposed to have been murdered by a man named Campbell last July about five miles above the mouth of the Tuiuksak river. The crime was witnessed by a native, who afterwards told the missionaries concerning it.
