-— .1 Swindled.Our Shanes Crossing correspondent informs us that Mr. John Addy, of that place, was swindled out of $800 by a ■washing machine agent. It seems that Addy was induced to become agent for the machine, and after he had accepted the agency*, be was informed that he would have to go to Enterprise after the machines. This lie would not do; whenthe agent told him. to sign an order andhe would deliver them.- This Addv did.*but the innocent order turned out to be a note for 144 machines, amounting to over $800.
