He told him that a man who will deliberately drink up money that ought to put food in his children’s mouths is several degrees worse than a brute and he also told him the next time he comes to Fort Wayne and gets on a tear he will do some time down in the county jail.The wufe told the old threadbare story—he’s all right when he’s sober. It was shown, however, that he Inflicts more privation and hardship on his family with one spree than he can*atone for by months of sobriety. Monday he came down from Huntertown to look for a house to move his family into and he got home with a big jag. His wife had $5 left and was afraid to trust him to come alone, so she came with him Tuesday. He dragged that woman and the poor youngsters about town all day and that night she remained with a friend.He went to sleep in the Interurb'in station yesterday and when Patrolman Paul got him and wanted him to go home he told the officer It was none of his d— business and found out that he was mistaken. He promised to do better. These fellows alwavs do.
