After pouring alcohol on ihe leg of William Hardeman. E. Chaves, an Albuquerque saloon keeper, applied a mutch, severely burning Hardeman to such an extent that he may lose one foot. Hardeman caused the arrest of Chaves who proclaimed It u practicalJoke.Jap Clark, accused of the murder of James Chase, was lodged in the penitentiary at Santa Pe March 6th, his application for a writ of habeas corpus having been dismissed by Judge Mann at Kstancla Witnesses for Clark, who were to be at the hearing, did not appear.
