Causey sentences 7AMITE—Judge Gordon E. Causey handed down the following sentences on March II. IV76at Amite:Delvin Ballard was sentenced to five years, with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was ■unrfrrtrri na rfndltnr he make restitution for theft.David Wayne Lambert was sentenced to three years for aggravated battery and placed on supervised probation.Larry Knighten was sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections and placed on probation with a special condition that he serve 1 year in the parish jail.Lionel Baker plead guilty to possession of marijuana which had previously been reduced from distribution and was sentenced to serve tt months in the parish jail.Harry Hayden who was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of his father on August 25.1V73. was sentenced to indefinite probation after hearing in which documents were introduced indicating that during his 2 year tenure in Jackson that his is now sane.L.C. Wood was sentenced to 30 days for driving while intoxicated.Steve Dillon was sentenced to SO days in jail for resisting a state police officer while trying to make an arrest. Dillon was tried by Judge Causey and found guilty of resisting arrest and public littering. Assistant District Attorney Joseph H. Simpson prosecuted the cases.
