Dunbar Township Man Enters Guilty Plea lt;Shooting of Wife• i', trmONTOWN, Max. Ify — Out-ti .the'body of Mrs. Finner Benford of- near Dunbar, slain last November ,24 by her husband, ‘James Benford, were removed 145 small shots.This was testified Wednesday by Dr. George Tolstoi, pathologist at Umontown Hospital, after Benford had ^entered a general plea to a murder charge..Death, the witness said, was due to hemorrhages and shock.President Judge W. Russell Carr is hearing. the testimony, without a jury to determine the' degree of the murder.The pathologist declared that death ensued within a few minutes. The victim, had she lived.: would have given birth to a baby within two months. The unborn-babe was .14. inches long /and weighed five pounds.Mrs. Benford -was shot as she fled from h$r homo into the yard of a neighbor,. The. victim was, the . mother of throe children.
