Brooks was killed and borrowed 25 cents from her, though Artist Kaufman has testified that Miss Bunns was posing at his studio at that hour. Miss Burns Is believed to have given Miss Fischer Information tending to show . that the girl s relations with 'Brooks had reached a critical stage.The other new witness will be Yale D. Bronner, who said yesterday that on the morning of the tragedy he met Miss Burns on a Brighton Beach train bound for Manhattan. Mr. Elrenner lives at No. 419 Ocean avenue, Flatbush. lie sut beside her on the train, he said, and she did hot appear in the least excited. Backus, Miss Burns's counsel, went to the Glen Island Hotel yesterday and closely questioned the night clerk and attendants with a view to asrcertain inpr whether the 'costume shewore on the train corresponded to that of the woman who accompanied Brooks to the hotel. Later he said his visit to the hotel was very satisfactory,A young woman, -whose name could not be learned visited Assistant Dis-trict-Attorney Krotel yesterday after Miss Flseher hacl departed.
