Editor* Morning-Herald:Three new wells have boon started to pump on R. L Sh±w farm during the past week, viz: MLtchell Co.'s No. 9 started to pump about a week ago, and ia steadily doing 15 barrels per day. It will ba torpedoed in a few days, which will doubtlesi^parauade it to increaeo its yield. Mitchell's No. 13 was tubed yesterday, and ia to-day pumping at the rate of SO barrels, which will doublets bo greatly increased when the water ia completely exhausted. This well ia on the leane adjoining the Emory Bros, leaso, on which their bigw*ell ia located. „Mitohell’a No. IS is tubed, and etarted to pump thia afternoon. As thiawell had only twelve feet of ‘^and couk,” the prospect* of it turning out a large well are nor very flittering.
