ty The Memphis Appeal says, that the robbers have beeo committing their depredations upon steamboats in that port to an alarming extent recently. A number of persona were robbed in their staterooms on board the Kate Frisby, Thursday night. Morgaa Blackburn, the negro porter, from Louisville, lost $8, other persons^ to the number of foor, lost their watches and money to the amount of eighty or ninety dollars. Two of the watches were gold the other silver. A passenger from the Lady Walton was knocked down and choked by two men, in Monroe street, near the river, Thursday night, and the sum of $15 to $20 taken from hia pockets. Wednesday night Capt.
