His last term expired in 1028.As prosecutor, he obtained a number of miners on charges of murder and insurrection after1federal troops halted a march by hundreds of yien from coal camps on Logan county.Surviving are the widow, Mrs. j i Lola Avis Chafin; and three chil- h dren by a former marriage.
