There is not a city in the West whose police force is more sober or temperate than the force in this city; and the slur of the Ledger does an act of injustice to every man upon the force. The New Albany police is com psedoi gentlemen who are esteemed in this cortimunkty sb good men; andtheir entering into a compact to drink no liquor during their term of office is eminently creditable to them.
