We want to train them so that they can pursue the same type of vocation for which they were trained w'hile in the institution. Each inmate will be given individual study and treatment. Each boy will be treated as a separate problem. There will be no mass treatment such as is found in prisons.”The first group of prisoners will be taken to the reformatory about March 15, Thomberry said. At present 73 young men, between the ages of 17 and 25, sentenced for short terms have been segregated in a separate building at the prison here and are being given psychometric tests. He estimated that possibly slightly more than half of the group would be assigned to the new institution after the tests. Before leaving the institution, discharged inmates will be given a series or mental tests to determine w'hat they have learned while incarcerated. The refomratory, loacted several miles east of here, will not have walls or fences.WAR ON TAXI lew »1 DREDGE BOAT Of J1ASPEEDERS ISS A NO COMPANYOPENED HEREFour Arrests Were Made Last Night by Officer Bosch and Others Will Follow.Sparks From Acetylene Torch Causes Blaze; Fire Trucks Make Quick Run.Traffic Officer Bosch last night declared open warfare on speeding car operators in Jefferson City, especially taxicab drivers.Four arrests were made during the evening and in every instance the motorist was traveling In excess of 45 miles per hour on a busy street.
