Harrison County Prisoner ParoledDES MOINES, •£*—Paroles have been granted two of the 14 life term prisoners whose terms were commuted by former Gov, Robert D. Blue, the state parole board said Friday. 'Both prisoners were expected to leave the state penitentiary at Fort Madison as • soon as final arrangements concerning their supervision under parole have been completed.Granted paroles were David Harding, 66, sentenced from Harrison county in February, 1927, and Julius Pakos, 38, sentenced from Scott county in July, 1936.Harding was sentenced in connection with a Modale, la., rob’ bery, He was one of three men who fled across the Missouri river ice near the Blair, Neb., bridge. He has always insisted that he was not involved in the bank robbery. PaTble records show that the other two men involved corroborated his story.
