Thieves Hold Officers at Cay and Escape.Nobtonville, Kan., Mar-h 9.—Saturday night the smoke house of W. C. Nevins was broken into and a quantity of pork taken. He traced the thieves to the home of the Montgomery family. When five officers came to search the house they were covered with guns by Fred Montgomery, John Montgomery and Morton Green, and before the officers could reach their arms the thieves hod escaped on horses. The stolen goods were found in the house.
