The two bandits who held Mr. and Mrs. Merrier captive in their home from 10 o'clock Thursday night until 4 o’clock yesterday morning and then took them to the bank were constantly blindfolded with large handkerchiefs and identification is difficult.County Attorney R. B. Stevens said today that he had written federal authorities at Kansas City,.Mo., asking if there is any way in which their aid might be enlisted in tracking down the Eudora bank bandits.Further checking on the cash at the’Eudora bank showed that the amount lost was slightly less than $3,700, according to Kelvin V. Hoover, vice-president of the institution. The loss is fully covered by insurance and replacement of the money , by the insurance company is expected within a day or two, Mr. Hoover stated.Sheriff Dunkley expected to send fingerprints taken from coffee cups r and saucers used by the bandits in the Mercier home Thursday night to department of justice headquarters at Washington, D.
