Miss Mary E. Hailey of the state police was the complainant, and Richard G. Riley, superintendent at the Davol, was mode.the defendant.The charge was that the ma* chlnery was started flvo minutes ahead of the time scheduled in the mills on the date named, and that two women speeder tenders were working. It was shown that these women were employed less than fifty-two hours a week, Quitting at 5;30. in the afternoon on five days and at 10 on Saturday morning.
