Second Ave., was sentenced Feb. 4 on a charge of violation of the uniform controlled substances act -distribution of cocaine to person under the age of 18. The sentence included 51 months in prison, with credit for 138 days perviously served incarcerated. Pena pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to unlawfully distributing cocaine to a person, younger than 18 years old, between June 24 and July 5. She pleaded guilty to take advantage of a pleabargain, according to her written statement.John H. Newman, 20,1925 Melrose St., No. 52, pleaded innocent Jan. 22 to a charge of second-degree theft. A trial was scheduled for March 19 and 20. Newman was charged Oct. 23 with wrongfully obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over six video cassettes, belonging to Channel 3 Video, Eastgate Marketplace, 420 N. Wilbur Ave., on Aug. 13.Marty R. Pearce, 31, address unavailable, pleaded innocent Jan. 22 to a charge of third-degree assault and a charge of unlawful im prisonment. A trial was scheduled for March 25 and 26. Pearce was charged July 30 with beating a person with a tree branch, and knowingly restraining a person, between May 14 and 15.Richard A Broman, 29, Seattle, was sentenced Jan. 22 on a charge of residential bur glary. The sentence included 24 months of community supervision. The sentence also included 150 hours of community service, $70 in court costs, $100 to the crime victim compensation fund, an amount of restitution to be determined, and a $500 fine. Broman pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to unlawfully entering an apartment with intent to steal property, betweenAug. 24 and Sept. 3.John J. Delaney, 27, Washington State Penitentiary, was sentenced Jan. 22 on a charge of forgery. The sentence included 14 months in prison, to be served at the same time as a King County conviction for second-degree burglary. The sentence also included $70 in court costs, $100 to the crime victim compensation fund, $380 in restitution, and $200 for attorney fees. Delaney pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to knowingly forging a check on Feb. 14,1990.Larry H. Carson, 44, Spokane, was sen tenced Jan. 22 on a charge of violation of the uniform controlled substances act - posses sion of methamphetamine. The sentence included 10 days in the Walla Walla County Jail, with credit for eight days previously served. The two remaining days will be converted to 16 hours of community service. The sentence also included 12 months of community supervision; $70 in court costs; $100 to the crime victim compensation fund; $200 for attorney fees; a $1,000 fine, with $800 suspended; $250 to the drug enforcement fund; and $45 in sheriff's service fees. Carson pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to unlawfully possessing methamohetamineon Nov. 25,1989.Eduardo Nino III, 28, 802 W. Birch St., was sentenced Jan. 22 on a charge of second-degree assault. The sentence included 46 days in the Walla Walla County Jail, with credit for each day served in an inpatient alcohol treatment program and in a half-way house if completed by April 15, 1991. The sentence also included 12 months of community supervi sion, $70 in court costs, $100 to the crime victim compensation fund, an amount of restitution to be determined, $200 for attorney fees, a $350 fine, and $11.50 in sheriff's service fees. Nino pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to hitting a Derson with a baseball bat on Oct. 6.Rodney L. Greiner, 22,115 W. Path, Dayton, pleaded innocent Jan. 28 to a charge of vehicu lar assault. A trial was scheduled for March 6 and 7. Greiner was charged Dec. 11 with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, thereby injuring a person, on Nov.3.
