A few • days later the local man was arrested and) sent to jail where he remained until a little aver a week ago. (Last (Friday accompanied (by a Kittanning young man he went to Hooks and1 4 I * 4 •meeting the lumberman accused himof having called at his home wrhile» • . * • /• ’he was serving the sentence in jaili * ' iand having had made improper advances to his wife in his absence., The lumberman denied the allegations emphatically and agreed to come to Kittanning on the following day and confront the wife to disprovethe allegations' that were made against him. -In the meantime the two local men are said to have induced the Hooks (Station chopper to give them half a dollar.Acting on his employer’s advice the, lumberman came to Kittanning Friday night and conferred with the authorities here.
