Among the most unusual is that of removing wild animals from localities where they are too numerous, or constitute a niusance.Thus for several past weeks a special conservation department crew has been removing deer from particu-cal localities. About 300 of the animals have been removed from the property of a powder company near Barksdale in Bayfield county, and this week the department is engaged in trapping 100 or so from bleak Chambers Island, in Green Bay, where there is not enough natural food to sustain a large herd. The deer thus taken are either sold to the highest bidder, or transplanted in suitable environment.•$ lt;e lt;$YOUNG GOP BIDThe newly-formed Young Republican Federation of Wisconsin last week turned out its first piece of work in its assigned project of attracting World War II veterans into the Republican column on election day. 9In letters distributed throughout the state, the Federation advised new war veterans that the Republican party, by its records and by its proposals, has the best and most generous program of legislation for them. Among specific proposals cited by the group was legislation to grant to en-listen men the Terminal Leave compensation now confined to officers.
