Lloyd Nelson Pleaded Guilty Before Federal Judge and Received Three Year TermOUT ON BOND NOWUNTIL APRIL FIRSTLloyd T. Nelson, former cashier cf the First National Bank of Milroy, was sentenced by Judge Robert T. Baltzell in federal court at Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon. Nelson, when arraigned on a charge of embezzlement of funds from the Milroy bank, entered a plea of guilty: Nelson was given a three year sentence at the federal penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth, Kan -sas. The charge accused Nelsorof embezzling approximate^$20,000 of the banks funds. Ne^ son voluntarily gave himself u,after a 2 weeks absence following the discovery of his defalca tion.Nelson was granted his liberty until April 1 due to the serious illness of Mrs. Nelson at the Coleman hospital in Indianapolis. Nelson had been indicted by the Rush county grand jury but was turned over to the federal anthorities who issued the first warrant for his arrest. He expressed himself as being willing to pay the price of his act when he surrendered toRussell B. Titsworth, prosecutingattorney.
