GAVE BABE IAQVOH.Bert Hamilton Pleads Guilty to tJioChw^o in Justice Court.Held on a charge of giving intoxicating liquor to a minor. Bert Hamilton pleaded guilty before Justice E. Creswell yesterday morning and was fined 140 and costs. In able to pay the fine he is being held in the city jail.Hamilton was arrested last Wednesday night by the police at his boarding house in the northeast part of Webb City.Several day* ago Hamilton is said tohave left his wife, who Uvoe in Carter-ville, and with his three-year*old son | came to Webb City. The child being ill with mease is. Hamilton gave it whisky in large quantities as a result of which it is alleged to be in a serious condition.The mother being informed of the action of her husband came, to this city yesterday morning and secured an order from Prosecuting Attorney S. W. Bates for the custody of the child. At first the parties with whom the child had been left b the father refused to give it up, but later gave the child to its mother.
