Beloved Woman OfFairview Died Sat.Fairview, Mar. 3.—The community was shocked to learn ofthe death of one of its most highlyesteemed citizens, Mrs. MargaretBoyd, who passed away at theFairview hospital, Saturday night following a lingering illness.Mrs. Boyd, throughout her illness, maintained a bright and cheerful disposition and will be greatly missed by all who knewher.Deceased was 63 years of age and was born in Watson's Corners, Lanark County, Ontario.She leaves to mourn three sons,Ernest, Harold and William, all of Vanrena. One daughter, Mrs. McIntyre of Edmonton, predeceased her mother several yearsago. Also surviving are two sisters Mrs. D. F. Dobbie, Brandon, and Miss S. M. Cummings, also of Brandon, who had been with Mrs. Boyd for some time prior to herdeath, and five brothers, G. F. Cummings, Brandon; J. E. Cummings, Bashaw; W. P. Cummings, Brandon; Gordon, of Edmonton, and Wallace, of Vancouver.Prior to her illness, Mrs. Boyd had been an active church andsocial worker being vice presidentof the Alberta Women's Institutefor several years and director for some time of the northern Women’sInstitutes and honorary president of the local branch of that organization.Deepest sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.Funeral service was held at St.Paul’s United Church, Fairview, on Tuesday, March 3, at 2 p.m., Rev. Mr. Prior officiating.L. C. Brockway was in charge of funeral arrangements and interment was made in Waterholecemetery.The pal 1-bearers were Messrs Halliday Scott, Sam Simpson, Alex. Bennett, Rod McKenzie, F. B. Fulton and Gordon Hull.Beautiful floral tributes were received from The Family, Brothers and Sisters, W.
