At 37 years old, she is the youngest of the district attorney candidates but said she sees herself as the next generation of leadership in the office, like Ronnie Earle was when he took office at age 34.Mindy is doing great work and she needs to be able to continue that work in the district attorney office, said Jonathan Martinez, a Montford campaign representative. It's been a welcoming environment. There needs to be change, and there needs to be updates. I think she can do that.Lehmberg said she would keep Austin a safe city, step up environmental prosecutions, work on alternate diversion programs for first-time drug offenders and provide effective prosecution of online crimes.Montford said she wants to create an Internet crime division and have a prosecutor assist with the police department at all times.
