CAR AFIRE DURINGOWNER'S ABSENCEYouths Unable to Prevent Loss to Mercer Auto.Fire last night caused extensive damage to a 1947 sedan owned by A1 Yeager, of Mercer, while it was parked at the Lyle Snodgrass home on Donation Road, about a mile east of Greenville borough.The blaze was discovered by three Greenville youths who drove past the scene, but it had already gained such headway that the damage could not be prevented. Flames enveloped the portion of the car to the rear from the motor compartment, but died out before reaching th* motor.After noticing the smoke and flame, Richard Mayer, Samuel Fisher and Robert Fisher, all of Greenville, stopped at the scene and broke Into thei ear to remove seat cushions and attempt to extinguish the flames. They were unable to stop the blaze, however.The car had been left at the Snodgrass home earlier in the evening as Mr. Yeager came to Greenville with members of the Snodgrass family. The fire was discovered about 11:30 p. m.
