COURT SETS BATE FOR HILLIN TRIALCenter Champion. Feb. 23 lillin wGeorge Hillin will go to trial „ in connection with the killing „ of J. O. McCarrer on We da— tday. March 1C, according to the decision of district court thfa week. A special venire of 18(i men will be called. The cast is expected to attract wide attention dee to the fact lhat Hillin is well known throughout the county and both principals in the caee had a wide connection here. 14c-Carver was ehot and killed on the street* of Tenaha, where both men lived. Friday, February II. McCarver was a for-l(m«r deputy sheriff and Hillin at the time was constable of the Tenaha township.The case of Grace Daniels. Haslam negro woman, charged with murder in aonnectiou with the shooting of a negro boy about two weeks ago. was set for Monday. March 7. The 10-year-old boy was shot during a light between the Daniels woman and another worn-While the grand Jury returned a bill Saturday morning in the Stepp case.
