RUUSA NISULA SENTENCED. !Goes to the House of Correction for Six Months for Concealing the Birth ofHer OhBd*|^B§|FITCHBURG, March 3— A special session of the police court was held thisaflerncon for the purpose of sentencingRuusa Nisula, the Finn* who pleadedguilty last Thursday to concealing thebirth of her infant.The remains of the infant were foundin the brook at the rear of 73 Mechanic st last Wednesday. Later the Nisula girl was arrested, and confessed that she threw her child in the Nichols pondnear the* Burbank hospital.Through an interpreter today she testified that she was 20 years old. She has two brothers in this state and a thirdsomewhere In this country, but none ofthem knew of her arrest. Her parentslive in Finland.Chief Kendall stated to the court that in her confession she told him the child was horn about Dec 7. She did not think it was alive, and she hid it at the foot of the bed. The next day she threw the body Into Nichols pond, claiming thatshe did not know what else to do with it. The court imposed a sentence of sixmonths in the house of correction at Worcester.It was thought that the complaint would he changed to a more serious charge as a result of the autopsy, butthe case is probably ended by today’s action Of the court.
