Wife Questioned in Husband's DeathMADISON (AP)—Susan Stor-dock, 38, was held for questioning Sunday night after her husband, an investigator for the State Medical Board, was shot to death as he slept.Dist. Atty. James Boll said a first degree murder charge was being prepared concerning the slaying of LaVerne Stordock, 44. jBoll said Stordock was fatally wounded, apparently as he slept in his home in nearby Oregon. !Mrs. Stordock has three children by a previous marriage.Stordock was a former Beloit police detective and former investigator for the state attorney general’s office.
