Charles E. Wenell, 68, retired Leopold Desk company employe died in Burlington hospital at 3:30 o’clock this morning, after an extended illness.Mr. Wenell was born in Sweden, in 1860, coming to America and direct to Burlington In 1885. The year after his arrival here he entered the service of the Leopold Desk company as a machine worker and held that position until ill health forced him to retire about a year ago. He made his home at 1303 Brick street.Surviving are the following relatives: Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Weis, Mrs.W. D. Taylor and Hilmer C. Weis, of Burlington; Alfred D. Weis of Chicago; and Reynold E. Weis of Pasadena, California.Funeral services will be held' at the Taylor home, 1303 Brick street, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will remain at Prugh’s chapel until Sunday.
