Dutton, a pawnbroker, who resides at Passyunk avenue ’And Tasker streets, and whose office is ipn Second street, below Wharton, and who was ]a candidate for Common Council on (the t’wenty-sixth w ard Democratic ticket, wias yesterday hald in $500 bail by Magistrate Oleujeut, charged with receiving stolen goods. On January 13 a pawnbroker’s bill was sentjont from the Detective Department, giyiing aj description of a pair of trousers and a icoat; which were stolen from Edward Crofto^i, of; 1816 Barker street. {Michael Kennedy, who was arrested for the tiiett, stated that he pawnee) the goods at Dutton’s loau office. It was; stated that Dutton failed to notify the depiriment that be had received the goods. Dutton said that a clerk, who took the Articles, had overlooked the case. Magistrate Clement, in making his decision, remarked thatpawnbrokers seemed to be getting careless.$ r I
