McDonald Probe ContinuesNarcotics Charge MayPut On Gav Lothario’The shoe is on the other foot today for «1-year-old Gordon McDonald, a modern-day “medicineman,’’ who was unmasked whenhe allegedly attempted to bilk his bride of one month out of $700.McDonald came under the personal attention of State Atty. W. Mack Smiley Wednesday when police discovered among his possessions a small black doctor's bag which contained a number of narcotic drugs, plus doctor's implements.Smiley, after questioning the man, said he used another name —Dr. George Stalnicoff—in his travels about the country as a self-styled “medical technician.”Hinting he may charge McDonald with “illegal possession of narcotics,” Smiley said he is continuing his investigation into the man's past to determine if he is wanted elsewhere.McDonald was first arrested on a charge of molesting a seven-year-old boy, the grandson of his new bride.He married Mrs. Gladys Sweeting, of Pinecraft, after a whirlwind romance. Police would ndt reveal what ruse McDonald used to get the $700 from his bride.State Atty. Smiley said the man had apparently worked around a hospital and had some medical knowledge, which permitted him to pose as a doctor.”The molesting charge was dis 1 misted by Justice of the PeaceGeorge Foeler last Monday night and McDonald was then taken jnta custody on a warrant charging grand larceny.
