MAN ACCUSED OF SLAYINGTWO IN PIKE ON TRIALPikeville.—The regular term of the Pike circuit court has been extended for the trial of James Elam, who is charged with the murder of James Case and brother, at Helller, Ky.. more than a year ago. A special venire of thirty Jurors are here for the opening of the trial. Elam was denied bail on his examining trial. Judge Childress and Commonwealth’s Attorney Stump had been employed in the case prior to their election. Attorney E.D.Steph- j ens has been agreed on as trial Judge and J. H. Adkins has been appointed prosecutor.
