Horse Thieves Captured.^* \ GA couple of horse thieves were captured In the town of Clay Banks at an early hour on Sunday morning, by Sheriff St an gel, of Kewaunee county.1.. \On Thursday of last week a-span of horses were BioleD from a farmer In the town of Siru-ralco, Brown county,'and the police authorities of Green Bay apprIsed\of the fact. The thieves took their property through the northern part of Kewaunee county from where they evidently Intended to. make their way to the extreme end of the peninsula. They stopped at John Hosletl’s for the night, but wer6 overhauled by the Kewaunee county sheriff before they could resume their journey Sunday morning. \The prisoners, one of whom proved to be Charles Baptist, were brought to this city, by their captor and placed In the care of Sheriff -Thorppvho locked them up until the City of Marquette departed for the south 8unday evening. From Kewaunee they, were conveyed back to Green Bay, where they will be keptjn jail until their trial can take place unless they see fit.to plead guilty and receive their sentence, at once. •Baptist is the same one who served a long term in the reformatory at Ionia, Mich., for robbery committed In Delta county. It was supposed that he wbb thoroughly cured of bis propensity to appropriate property belonging to other people, but this appears to have been a mistake. • - .
