Stowart Reeves, ti 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Reeves, was arrested Friday by Sheriff Wheatley on an Information sworn out by Rev. Cleorge 11. Brown, charging the lad with larceny. It seems that neighbors of the Reeves have been missing small articles for some time, ami finally a valuable shot gun belonging to Mr. Brown turned up missing and was found where the boy bad bidden it. He at first denied the theft, but inter admitted the fact, when pressed by his mother to tell the straight of the affair. The case was brought before Justice Monlux, but by general consent was set for trial on September 20th, just before court sets, and if the lad behaves himself In the meantime, it may be dismissed. If not lie will bo taken before the district court and sent to the industrial school. A search revealed another gun which the boy bad probably swiped some where, but It is not known to whomit belongs.
