WIIMI— ■'The Circleville Herald, Monday June 27, 1 977Several Resignations Accepted At WestfallDuring the WesJall Board ot Education meeting June 20. the boardpersonnel leaving openings in the following areas: learning Disabilities class at Jackson, Music at Darby, English at the Middle School, Title I Heading at Jackson, and two busdrivers.Employed was Sally Orihood from elementary physical education to high school physical education and girls basketball coaching; Judy Gatewood from elementary EMR to learning Disabilities class at Jackson; Deborah Allen from part-time elementary music to full time elementary music;Allison Chenoweth, BS from Ohio State University, no previous experience, for elementary physical education; Deborah Maxwell, BS from Ohio State University, no experience, for high school English; Mary Hem-melgarn, BS from Ohio State University, no experience, for elementary EMK; and Norma Sutton, BS from Ohio University, 11 yearsexperience, for elementary position.The board adopted the State minimum salary schedules for teaching and non-teaching personnel for 1977-78 contract year.C -mm-mmm DrnnmmMike Eckle was employed for the driver education summer program.The Westfall Board of Education elected the special category for natural gas usage next winter as provided by a new classification system set up by the PUCO.Textbooks for health and music were adopted as recommended by the county selection committee.Several requests to use district school facilities this summer and fall were approved.A special meeting is set for July 11, at 8 p.m., for adoption of the 1978 budget. Copies of the budget are available in the clerk’s office for anyone wishing to review them prior to the meeting.The board passed a resolution permitting the clerk to request an advance draw on local taxes.Gordon Massie, superintendent, gave a report to the board on repairs and replacements to the buildings in the districtNew HUD Money Slated For OhioCOLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - An additional $15.( million in housing assistance funds to help an estimated 3,140 low income families acquire rental housing has been allocated to Ohio by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.Paul Lydens, director of the HUD area office in Columbus, says the 41-county central Ohio area under his office would receive $4.2 million as its share of the supplemental state allocation.Separate funding allocations have been made to the Cincinnati and Cleveland HUD Insuring offices, Lydens said. Cincinnati’s funding for the 11 counties under its jurisdiction is $3.7 million and Cleveland will receive $7.7 for its 36 counties, he said.The program provides a rent subsidy for low income families to help them afford decent housing in the private market.
