Monday was released on ? 5,000 ( bond after waiving to the Fay-, ette County Grand ury on' charges of murder and feloni- ■ous wounding. !Puryear, a local tavern owner and former deputy sheriff, was charged in the early Sunday shooting death of a former Winona man, Vernon Cox, 25, of Detroit. The incident occurred in Puryear’s tavern during an argument.Authorities said two women identified as Mrs. Billy Riggins. 37, and Victoria Medley, 1', both of nearby Minden, were wounded in the incident.
