Tyrone Woman Arraigned On Theft ChargesA Tyrone woman was arrested Thursday on charges of theft by failure to make regular dispossession of funds.Sara Sally E. Culp, 48, of 310 W. 10th St., Tyrone, was arrested at the Hoilidaysburg state police barracks Thursday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. for writing checks out to herself while acting as a bookkeeper for Paul C. Ward Jr. of Box 398, Tyrone RD 4, owner of Ward Electric.Culp was taken before District Justice Denver Ake of Roaring Spring for preliminary arraignment and charged with 114 counts of theft by improper dispossession. She was released on her own recognizance and $15,000 bail.Police charge that Culp allegedly wrote checks to herself and for deposit only and then deposited them into her personal checking account.After the theft was discovered by Ward, an audit was made by Young, Oakes, Brown Co, of Tyrone. It was determined by the auditors that $10,756.50 had been filtered from Ward’s business account between Feb. 19,1981, and Jan. 20, 1986.A hearing has been set for Culp on July l at 2 p.m. in the office of District Justice Jonn B. Greene, Tyrone.
