Business Here Changes HandsA longtime-Finrilav business, the Alice Beauty and Dress Shop. 411 S. Main St., is being purchased by Louis Danziger and his two sons. Samuel and Nathan, of Fremont.The sale will be consumated Friday and the store, which will be closed Wednesday. Thursday and Friday for inventory purposes, will be rc-opcned Saturday under the new ownership and the general management of Nathan Danziger.Mr. and Mrs. Floyd J. Curran, present owners of the store, said that during the three-day closing period the beauty shop will continue to operate and customers wishing* to pick up lay ,, away merchandise or pay ontheir accounts may do so.Louis Danziger and son, Samuel, arc partners in the Joseph Department Store in Fremont and Nathan Danziger has been buyer for the store’s ready-to-wear department.Mr. Danziger and his wife, Nancy, will move to Findlay as soon as a residence can befound. Mrs. Danziger has•#resigned her posisiAion as a third grade teacher in theYearsSlavonic, Ethiopic, and otherlanguages document rpore than 1,500 years of Christianity.Though armies have advanced and retreated ceaselessly across the peninsula, St. Catherine’s has enjoyed a peace and serenity unknown almost anywhere else.The now owners have emphasized they contemplate no changes in the operation of the Alice Beauty and Dress Shop. The present staff' will be retained and the same quality of merchandise and policies will be continued.The name “Alice” which has been a familiar name for a-Main St. business for more than 35 years will be retained ‘by the new owners. The store Will be known as Alice Inc.Mrs. Curran established the Alice Beauty Shop here several years before her marriage in 1929 to Mr. Curran He became associated with her in the business and in 1935 hosiery and lingerie were added.Fremont School System.In 1936 a complete line of women’s apparel was added and the name was changed to Alice Beauty and Dress Shop. At that time the store was located at 628 S. Main St vBecause of the expansion of their business Mr. and Mrs. Curran moved the Alice Beauty and Dress Shop to its present location. In October 1955 fire caused extensive damage to the building and it was moved temporarily to a smaller location oh W. Crawford St.Except for this brief period the Alice Beauty and Dress Shop has been in only two locations, ooth of them on S. MainSt.Mr. and Mrs. Curran, who reside at 1313 Hurd Ave., expect to remain in Findlay and wjll devote much of their time to other business interests.
