Last Saturday afternoon a posse ofsix men met at llominy Swamp near Wilson and w ith Deputy Sheriff Whitehead at the head left for Cross Roads township for the purpose of arresting certain white caps in that township supposed to have been implicated in the affair at Lueama, described in lastifut* I SI 1The first man arrested wan Robert j Raper who was immediately placedj under guard and sent back to tow n. The posse then divided into two parts one going to Black Creek, the other to l-ucama. At Black Creek Montgomery and Jesse Bass were found, taken into custody and sent with guards to Wilson.
