LAWN PARTY RIOTER CAUGHTArthur Roach Arretted at Chet* apeak Western Depot.Wanted for Complicity in Rocky Bar Fight a Tear Ago—Hti Companion Injured.Arthur Roach and George Peyton the former an old offender, were arrested yesterday afternoon by Deputy Sheriff Carickboff, charged with disorderly conduct at the Chesapeake Western depot. Peyton, who hails from Greene county while indulging Id disorder at the depot with Roach, attempted to board the westbound passenger train, missed bis footinig, and nearly fell under the cars. The oar step struok him on the bend, inflicting a severe gash several lnohes in length; He had besn warnd not to attempt to boardthe train,toamjuries were dressed. Both prisoners were looked up in jail for a hearing before Mayor Roller this morning.Roach is wanted in connection with the row at the Rocky Bar lawn party, near Island Ford, iast summer when John Gooden, of near Is-Ind Ford, was badly injured. He has been at large ever since, although the officers have been after him several times. A felony warrant Is pending against blm and be will likely be tried on this charge before Magistrate Runcle, of Stonewall DistrlotRoach and Asbby Shifflett are said to bave been tbe leaders in the fight at tbe iawn party. Shifflett jumped from a Chesapeake Western excursion train on tbe Sunday following the trouble after he had been placed under arrest. He was caught at Stokesville by Special jOffiosr Paxton and again attempted to escape.
