Raach as publishod in the News Monday was foblowed by an information beiug filedbefore Justice Bothwell against JohnFach of Mahoning street for keeping his saloon open on Sunday. Revs • Poling and Raach found the place open 12:50 on the night ot June 8, and the affidavit. Fach was recentlyappointed on the police force.Mayor's Clerk Paulus claims that Fach disposed of his saloon business before his appointment on the force.The Ministerial Federation met Monday morning to Lear reports by Rev. Daniel A. Poling and Rev. Chas. F Raach of their investigations of the Sunday conditions in Canton. After a discussion of the liquor laws and the reports of the two ministers who made the investigation a 3et of resolutions ■were drafted which were later made public. They not only demanded the enforcement of the Sunday closing ordinances but requested the names of the owners of buildings used for saloon purposes who were affiliated with any church organizations of the city. The ministers allege that the mayor at a conference held some time ago told tln-rn that some of the buildings ; so used were the property of some of ! their church members. It is the namesof these men that the ministers wantand they ask that the places be closed on Sunday and that the names he furnished to their secretary.The first resolution is as follows:“Tn that we have positive evidence that the Sunday liquor laws are being openly violated in the city of Canton. l»- it resolved that we, the Ministerial Federation of Canton, demand of Mayor Turnbull the enforcement of the Sunil u liquor laws in accordance with the pledge made to the Ministerial Federation by the mayor prior to his election as mayor of the city of Canton, and also in accordance with the oath of office taken by Mayor Turnbull when entering upon the official duties as mayor of CantonThe ministers are also said to have talked a little politics at their meeting and Dr Buxton said he thought a citizens’ ticket could win in the next mayoralty campaign and the name of Rhodes I Gregory was mentioned by Rev Herbruck who said the name had been suggested to him as that of a man who would prove a strong candidate,
