Police Sergeant Handy testified to removing Mr. Larnmrieh from the car stables to his home; was able* to walk with u.-sistance; did not speak; found no pistol. Frederick Schrocder testified that Larnmrieh came to his sai /on, near the car stables, on Tuesday afternoon, about 3 o'clock ; took the 4 o'clock car on Powhatan railway; came back on 6 o'clock car; was in saloon between Hand 9o'clock; appeal ed excited. William Clift, watchman at the red-line car stables, heard three pistol shots on Tuesday night, about 9 or Id o’clock; went up on the hill with a lantern, and saw a man lying down smoking. Frederick Yokel and Frederick Lohruuthj young men, saw Mr. Limmri h on the hill lt;*11 Tuesday nlghi; afterwards heard pistol shots. Edward liittcr, driver of a ] Powhatan car, took deceas lt;i out on the | 4 o'clock car to Gwynu’s fills; saw him at 5.30 sitting at Wlnans’s gate. Mrs. Louisa Larnmrieli, widow of deceased, testifle I that her husband went nway from homo Tuesday morning at 10©'el«»ck; oi l not s-e him again until brought home; received a not© saying she should not be uneasy if ho dl l not c^rao h m ; the note was in her husband's handwriting; it was written Tuesday, but was not delivered until Wednesday morning; never know her husband to carry a pistol; there were no family troubles. John Lamrnrich, son of deceased, testified to receiving th© note; did not read it; did not know what became of it; it was Lis ! father s haudwriting; had not noticed any ; weakness in his father. Mr. Lantz testifle 1 that he saw Mr. Lamrnrich about 9.3) o'clock Tues-j day evening in Mechanics' Hall, Fayette street, near Eutaw street; spoke to him; he sat with his head down. Hr. P. V. Benson testified that : ho was called an l found a wound perforating : the temporal bone; death was caused by com-i pressluii of The Drain. This closed the te-ti-i mony. All tho witnesses who were a quninmd with deceased testified that ho was considered ! eccentric, and at times flighty or Imaginative. The jury, after a short consultation, agreed upon a verdict that deceased came to his death from a plstol-sh »t wound in the right temple, when and by whom inflicted unknown ' to them.
