POLICEMAN EXONERATED: BY CORONER’S JURYJ. W. Oliver Intends to Resign From Vallejo ForceVALLEJO, June 23.—The coroner’s jury in the case of Louis Weed, who died Sunday night as the result of a hemorrhage caused fry a bullet wound inflicted by Policeman J. W. Oliver June 15, returned a verdict tonight ex-I onerating Oliver.! Oliver intends to resign from the j police force.The policeman was in the act of arresting two sailors when Weed, according to the testimony given at the inquest today, seized the officer’s club and ran away. Oliver gave chase and when Weed failed to halt the officer drew his revolver and fired.
