A HORRIBLE DISCOVERY.The Rady at» A|m«* Found id a Trunk »t Culi)wbii« JadcMoa~.V MiiMUtitt*Dof(«r Arr^d.Monday morning a* the express was being loaded on the tram going south ai Columbus junction such a stench issued from a suspicious looking trunk that the route agent refused to accept it and the truck was rolled back onto the truck in the usual stjle As it Tolled back on the truck it burst open, disclosing a horriWe sight The body of a man rolled out, literally flooding the platform with blood. The body was cut open in front, something alter the fashion that a butcher dresses a beef, the body being devoid of all its in* ternal organs It was rolled into almost a ball and pressed into the trunk in a roost sickening manner.The horrible conglomeration was gathered up by the agent*assisted by those present, to await the arrival of the owner of the trunk who they thought might return for it when he failed to receive it. The trank bad been shipped from Muscatine to Keokuk and had been lying at the junction from the night before to be trans’ ferred to the train in the morning. Just as it was expected the owner upon not receiving bis package came from Keokuk to inquest of the trunk when he was promptly arrested. He refused to give his name, only stating that he was a doctor and that his home is in Muscatine The coroner after holding an inquest, shippedthe body to Muscatine.
