A. Xeiv Trial.• Frank Wool and Alonzo Campbell, the young men who assaulted Isaac' Harness, of the south-east part of the county, were yesterday granted a new trial by Judge Winfield. He considered that the finding of the jury was not warranted by the evidence. The defendants at once plead guilty to the charge of assault and battery, and the judge lined each of them $30 and costs. ’ The tines and easts were stayed by Wool's father and the young men at once Left for home. They both promise to settlbdown to steadv business and accumu-■ *late-enough to pay out.
