Lynch Negro j For Assault!Second Whipped By Mob! After White Woman Is j Insulted i _IWIGGINS, Miss., (ff) — One j negro was lynched and another j was spirited into woods and whip- j ped in the course of 24 hours of j mob rule by citizens in Wiggins I Saturday. {K. D. McGee, 25-vear-old negro, j was hanged to a tree and his body j pierced with bullets for an attack j Friday on the 11-year-old da ugh-j ter of a white dairy farmer. An- j other unidentified negro was j whipped and released by a crowd j of white men because of an in- j suit to a white woman. jStone county was in a state of excitement until the mob of about j 300 dispersed and Sheriff J. A.! Simpson and the coroner had the j body cut down from the tree be- ; side a narrow road. ^ iPhysicians said that the girl ; was not criminally attacked, but j that she was choked into uncon- j sciousness by the negro as he j seized her at a pasture gate near i her home and struck her on the i head with a shovel handle. ;
