The body was dressed in the identical clothing Debra Marie Carney was wearing when she disappeared early Thursday and was found two miles from Mrs. Carney’s home.Her sweet spirit, servant’s heart and selfless attitude was exemplified in her daily life,” Debby Carney’s husband, Lewis, wrote in a prepared statement. “We are eager to see justice served for this senseless act.”Mrs. Carney was last seen gassing up her car about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at a convenience store. Authorities were calledto the scene of a burning car about 6 a.m. near Apopka, just north of Orlando. They traced the 1995 vehicle to Mrs. Carney and went to her Orlando home to investigate.Her two teen age daughters said they heard nothing unusual overnight, but poHop found blood in the ririvpwav awoman’s watch, hair fibers, and some personal papers scattered along the ground. Police said Mrs. Carney’s car was set on fire.Mrs. Carney, who works for an inven tory company, was assigned to a Kmart Wednesday night.Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are focusing their investigation on two cars seen trailing Mrs. Carney’s 1995 Ford Ex plorer.One is a late model Honda, possibly a Civic, painted teal green with shiny chrome wheels. The other is a red orburgundy Toyota, no model available, decked out as a “low rider” with wide tires and low wheel wells.Jim Solomons, a spokesman for the sheriff’s department, said his agency has no suspects or motive in the slaying.Solomons downplayed local media re ports suggesting that Mrs. Carney’s mur der was linked to that of Carla Larson, a 30year old construction engineer found slain last week.
