M»te« dith Is suffering with two stab wounds, one of which is said to be serious. ,Sodo recently decided to erect- a small house nt t«h*.rear of the lot. on which the' house, occupied' by Meredith is located. Mci«*dlth Is said to have started agoing with him from the'ground and whey, the verbal duel became warm he aolst-ed a piece of iron pipe and stated to ellirb the ladder.Sodo came down. And they grappled on the ladder. The contest-, ones were soon on the ground where Sodo drew a pocket knife and stabbed Meredith twice. One of the wo.md* was in his left shoulder. The other which is serious waa in theback at the lower rib.Officers Eckstein, Erjenbaugb. Lo’. e«y and Funk answered the call to the Meredith home. They found Meredith In the hands of a physician. Sodo had fled when neighbors threatened him with clu'os after the • stabbing. He was found at his home a few doors away. He is charged with 'felonious assault.
