’ Geo. Hovarka, of Chicago, is spending a week’s vacation with his sister, Mrs. Jos. Dolezal and family.Miss Anna Block, of Milwaukee, Wis., is the guest of the Frauk Dahlke family and other relatives.Misses Florence and Helen Akers attended the wedding of a cousin at Hammond, Tuesday, Miss Florence occupying the role of bridesmaid.C. B. Smalley, Mrs. Bert Fruits and Misses Charlotte Arnold and Margaret Altmann are attending the State Sunday School Convention at Terre Haute this week, making the trip in Mr. Smalley’s Ford.Elmus Tunis, detailed last week as in a Logansport hospital because of a badly broken skull, was able to come home last Thursday. His face still is swollen, but he appears to be recovering. Bert Kirkbam, under arrest for assaulting him, is in Rochester jail for safe keeping, unable to give bond for $500 under which he is held to await court action.
