A CASE THAT INDICATES MURDERJacob L. Headiy Found Dead in Burt County—Mrs. Lillie Again Loses in the Supreme Court—Other Matters Here and There,CRAIG—With every circumstance ndicaling murder and robbery, the sody of Jacob L. Headley, a wealthy 'armer, was fouud in Bell creek, a mile and a half northwest of here. It was almost, entiiely covered by the water an# was badly decomposed. Headley disappeared three weeks ago ind nothing had been heard or seen of him tint1! his body was identified.The discovery of the body was made by Robert Adams, who went to the field to repair some fence. Adams tn mediately notified the'coroner, who began an inquest this afternoon. The ody was so badly decomposed it was Impossible to identify it by the fear ;tires. From the clothing it was identified as Headley.A gunshot wound in the head plainly Abdicated the manner of death, and surrounding circumstances proved beyond doubt that the wound wad not selfunflictfed*At the inquest it was shown he should have had between $50 and $100 ;n his person, but no money was fotind* his pockets evidently having been rifled before the body was thrown into the creek.
